Meet the Aerts. They welcomed a sweet baby boy a while back, but I had to share their session. Their home is warm and filled with light and love. I enjoyed using the areas they connect in and watch them play with their children. The kids would lock eyes and smile often and mom and dad would lovingly take notice. I loved the little toys scattered about. I loved how comfortable they were in front of the camera.

I am not knocking posed newborn photography. Comparing lifestyle and posed sessions is like comparing apples to oranges. But, at the end of the day, if I am not capturing your authentic self, your life, your essence, then I am not doing what I love.
