As a photographer, there are so many reasons to get excited about a shoot. Not only do I get to meet new people, hear their stories, and share mine, I get to visit new (to me) places and shoot something new!

When the S family returned to me again this year, I was very happy to see them again. Their precious daughter is beyond adorable (you’ll see in the photos) and has so much personality. I LOVE that.

After some family portraits, the S family asked to get a few shots flying their kite. It was so much fun even though their was absolutely no wind - go figure! The beach is notorious for wind messing up hair…just not on the day we wanted to fly a kite! Still had a blast. See for yourself.

After no real success flying the kite and a little sand castle building, we decided to just go with it and enjoy the beach. La Jolla is gorgeous and I loved Scripps Pier as the backdrop!

Sometimes mother nature just doesn’t care what we want. Wind or now wind, she didn’t disappoint. And honestly, it is amazing clients like these who just roll with it that get the most authentic images. Thanks S family and I can’t wait to see what our next adventure is!
