Can I brag about my friend Lindsay for a sec? I first met her at MOPs at Existence Church in San Diego. She is friendly, warm, outgoing, HILARIOUS. She gets me and my sense of humor. She doesn't judge and listens with intent to help. I Just really adore her. I was excited to finally meet her family and they are equally as kind as she is. She has two daughters (like me) and it is so cool to watch her mother them. There is no "sham of perfection" which in turn makes her the perfect mom for her girls. I think being genuine and real with our kids is one of the best things we can do as moms. 

When discussing locations, Lindsay suggested Jack's Pond in San Marcos. I had only gone walking there so to shoot there was fun. We met up in the morning to beat the heat. No one was there, which was shocking for a Saturday. The landscaper "accidentally" turned the sprinklers on in one of the picturesque walking trails we were on. In spite of that, we were able to have a good laugh and appreciate the mist on a hot morning. I loved hearing the girls giggle, watching Dylan be the proud dad that he is, and the four them having fun while we "worked".

If at the end of the day, you can laugh, love, and connect, it is a great day. Thank you for being a great friend and a wonderful example to all us moms, Lindsay!
