Meet Maddie.

My goodness, Maddie is a precious baby girl. She’s a tiny little beaut who hardly made a peep during our time together. And her parents? They were absolute naturals with their first baby and dressed impeccably for their session. Not sure how my clients pull it together so soon after giving birth, but I am super jealous!

We started the session in the master bedroom. I couldn’t help but notice all of that glorious natural light flooding in and the simple, clean decor in their space.

After the cutest snuggle sesh imaginable, I moved everyone into the nursery. I always try to capture baby’s room. I love the care that goes into to creating a space for the new life arriving. This room was just a beautiful in it’s simplicity as the master bedroom was. My personal favorite images are ones I can shoot above the crib. The goal is to capture just how tiny they are when we first bring them home.

Last but not least, we had to include the sweet pup who insisted on being front and center of every shot. I have never in my life met a dog with as much personality as this one. The facial expressions were killing me! It truly felt like I was working with another member of their family! I highly encourage including pets in your newborn and family sessions. They add such a sweet, personal touch to the images! Also, how amazing is their living room!? Keep scrolling to see for yourself.

I am so happy to have blogged another Newborn Lifestyle Session. I want to show clients how important it is to capture the connections with their newest addition. Photography also helps facilitate a solid foundation for children. When they see themselves in images with their families, they feel anchored, connected, and secure. Who wouldn’t want that?
