One thing that stands out about this family is the way they have embraced the fierce independence of their awesome little girl. I could not get enough of her. As you will see, we shot the entire session around what she wanted to do and we all rolled with it. I am not the photographer you go to for traditional family portraiture. While I always do a handful of “framers” for your grandparents, the rest of my sessions are dedicated to capturing your family as you are authentically. It has been such a struggle for me to break new clients of the traditional and lean more into the uniqueness that makes their family one-of-a-kind. And if I dare to be even more honest, imagine if I posed you for every shot? What would I post here or on social media? It would be the same poses and I would be dropping your family right into the. same. exact. photo. That simply isn’t for me.
