“A happy family is but an earlier heaven" — George Bernard Shaw 

I found this quote while attempting to overcome writer’s block. I am not much for blogging (obviously) but want to try yet again to post more. I chose this session from March 2024 to kick off my 2025 blogging goal because I had a ton of fun shooting with this family. They have two little girls (same as me), and the giggles were just too much.

I want to stress the importance of encouraging your children to be themselves as much as possible during our session. I promise I will get photos of them “looking and smiling at the camera”, but I am more interested in everyone having a good time. When people are happy and laughing, there is immense joy that otherwise doesn’t come forward as easily. The opposite is true when too much discipline during the shoot is happening. But trust me. I am not judging. I am just reporting back real results from 10 years of shooting!
